WP also placed a steam generator car ahead of the baggage on occasions in late 68 or 69. This allowed the use of freight motors on the CZ. IIRC, these were ex GN cars painted silver and orange. Jeff

The would make the most sense placing the mail cars behind the motors. Didn't the WP for a short time in the later 1960's use containers on flat cars to get some extra income from the CZ? Loren Johns
