I know from time to time due to derailments, line washouts, etc. foreign road passenger trains were diverted over Q trackage. For example, I remember a photo somewhere in one of Spoor's books of a SF

Hi Tom, During the great Mississippi flood of 1965, the Q between LaCrosse and St Paul, went under first and its trains ran on the Milwaukee until it also went under and then both roads used the CNW
