My son got me a sweatshirt for Christmas, as shown in the attached photo. Does anyone know when the Q was using the logo shown on the sweatshirt? Was it ever used on any rolling stock? I don't recall

I doubt it. Freight cars just had the road name / initials and a number until the Burlington Route herald appeared on them, in about 1884/5. There is a photo taken at Plattsmouth in 1885 on page 46 o

Looking again at the LOC photo (for the misplaced apostrophe), box car 13814 (second from the left on the main track) was built in 1884 at Aurora and doesnt have a herald, so we can date the heralds
