One more "Drover" question. Would such a car, be it a worn out wooden coach or a rebuilt boxcar, as the UP had some, ride behind the locomotive or replace the caboose at the rear of the train? UP Dro

John and list That's the way it was done on the Lincoln Division as well...Livestock was normally kept on the head end so that it could be quickly set over for "feed, water, and rest" at terminals. T
