The Walthers Baggage car is a Santa Fe prototype, but is very correct for Rock Island too (with a truck change). My impression is that the Athearn baggage car suggests a pre-war Budd baggage car, and

I don't think the Burlington removed any of the full skirting even into BN. Hubert is correct when he says the Walther's car is a Sante Fe prototype. Walther's has done a great job on the Budd cars.

Wasn't it around 68 or so that the older 1940's stainless steel baggage cars returned to the Q proper? I have one of the Walthers Slumber Coaches that will come out as Loch Ness for my Mainstreeter.

Loren, Did the prewar baggage cars do service between Denver and Texas? The Walthers Slumbercoach on your"Mainstreeter" will be great! I was lucky to spend numerous overnight trips on a Slumbercoach
