Another question I would raise about the caption (as if I had any business complaining about the calendar, which is great!): To me (a 30's and 40's modeler) the locos in the photo are 3rd generation

I guess everyone looks at this a little differant but, I think if a diesel was intended to replace steam power, then it was a 1st generation. If it was to replace another diesel, then it was 2nd gene
