Does anyone have a copy of prints showing detail of the walkway on the roof ? Iam restoring one and need to replace it. Also how about a print of the old wooden water tanks built by the Q. HELP Tim P

No print but if you can find an old Alexander water tank it is a CB&Q tank. Ken

I have variety of photographs which show that Burlington waycars had only a longitudinal walkway down the middle of the roof -- no cross walks either next to the cupolo walls or at the ladders. Walks

Another wood waycar question. When were the wood ladders on the end of the car replaced with the steel ladders with the loop on top? Ken Martin

IIRC (I can't find it right now), the Holbrook & Lorenz "Waycars" book has a Corbin photo of wooden ldders as late as 1940 or '41 . . . but it was remarked on as though that were unusual . . . Marsha
