It was expensive to haul cars accross that UP bridge between Council Bluffs & Omaha. If the Counci Bluffs station had steam for heating the cars they may have been cut off and not hauled to Omaha. On

Just because a museum gets a "Q" unit does not mean they will preserve it as "Q". Recently the MTM received a SD-7 or 9 from the BNSF. It was originally as C&S. The MTM repainted in BN green & black
