- I've also heard praise for the chassis offered by Kato/Stewart/Bowser. I'm not sure of the exact history- did Stewart contract with Kato or what. But you can find them under all those names on eBay.

- Another approach to adding tint - Tamiya has a number of translucent, colored paints intended for this. Airbrushing that should work well, if a suitable color can be found or mixed. I have brushed it

- Jeff, unless I'm much mistaken, the USRA cars had a pressed hat section for the truss, whereas the XM-25/26 and most other single sheathed cars had a Zee for the truss. The tichy kit is nice, really
