- If my memory is good, the South Bend Quarry was for Rip-Rap for the Q. This is the large stones that were placed to prevent wash outs. Don't know about the locomotives that may have been used. Allen

- This bridge carried Vaughn Road, a township road, I think, over the CB&Q and then the BN. It did not collapsed as far as I can remember, but due to the condition, the BN petitiooned the Illinois Comm
