While I will not be able to make the meet.  Let me add that as well as giving clinics and writing for the Zephyr and Bulletin I have also written a book on the streetcar and interurban that use to run thru Ottawa on Madison Street.

Published by CERA  "The Illini Trail" is about that line.  The first electric street car line to open in Illinois was in Ottawa.  In later years use the south tow path of the Canal thru town as a belt line and moved sand into Ottawa's sand plants for processing.

There are copies in the local libraries in Ottawa and La Salle as well as the La Salle Historical Museum in Utica.

Ottawa,La Salle,Utica and surrounding area have much history for you to visit. This area was one of the earliest areas explored and was instrumental in transportation on both the Illinois and Michigan canal, the Illinois river and three railroads. Starved Rock state park is very close by and one of the Crown Jewels of the state park system. There’s plenty of shopping and dining in Ottawa and La Salle. Utica features many dining and shopping locations.

With so much to see and do plan to attend the meet and stay for a long weekend of exploration.
