Thanks for posting that Budd Photo, I'd love to see more if you have more.     I've been very seriously collecting CB&Q passenger items from the smallest of memorabilia up to real railcars.   My collection goes pretty deep.  I've been in the Private Passenger Car trade for 40 years now and have amassed a lot of stuff.   I've owned at least 100 smoking stands over the years, and only 2 like this one, the other was a UP from a club lounge.   I know the NP also used this style in the Traveller's Rest cars.     This style was introduced pretty late in the game as a competitor to the normal "Climax" style of stands.    The only use of these I know of after some research is the DZ obs cars.  Attached are scans of other Q related stands, including 2 from the DZ obs cars and from the TCZ cars.
