Indeed, the Dubuque Freight House looking due east (Mississippi out-of-sight behind).  Structure on right (south) is the old Dubuque Boat & Boiler Works which built/repaired steam ships, barges etc for over a century but nothing left today.  Was a good Q customer into the late 50's bringing in many of the raw materials.  Freight House exists today as National Mississippi River Museum (Smithsonian affiliate) as well as the old depot which is behing the photographer.  Spur from this yard ran to the Dubuque Star Brewery (closed in 1980's after a century of brewing, now housing a museum, restaurant, receptions area, etc)  The Q siding on its east side still exists in pieces.  Waycar assigned here was restored & displayed @ Eagle Point Park on N end of Dbq - now relocated to ???
