Hi folks,

Getting into the weeds here.

On the rectangular logo with the red border, I've seen several different shades of red used, from a burgundy to a bright, almost monochromatic red. My basic question is, what color is correct?

Did the red used change over the years? Was there an "official" color? Was it always the Chinese red of the later diesel scheme, or...? I'm particularly interested in the red used in the 1940's.

Any info would be appreciated.

Mark P.
