A book review, of sorts.
I just read the new book by Bruce C. Nelson about the end of the E-units in Chicago Suburban Service.
It's a well-written, easy to read story of the final years of the E9 on the Chicago-Aurora racetrack. It includes stories of fan trips and the farewell runs in 1992. Lots of great photos of the dinkies passing through the suburban stations, and a few in the Zephyr Pit.
The timeframe is certainly well past the Q days, but I heartily recommend to all of my Q friends.
