I apologize that I have not had the time to do this search for you until today. Color images on these lines are scarcer than hen’s teeth. Hi Dave, Did I respond to this? I'm looking for CB&Q/BN images from western Illinois, from Galesburg south to East Alton. Beardstown to Girard, Beardstown to East Alton, Galesburg to Quincy. I started laying out that chapter today and discovered I'm still missing a lot from that region. Color action shots preferred. Roster shots don't fit the focus of the book, unless it's framed within a facility, such as a shop or depot. Any help appreciated. thanks, mike

Following up on our conversation at Collinsville regarding color images of Alton and north on the Q. I’ve looked at our members only area and see several possibilities. Just how far north of Alton are you seeking? Are you looking only in Illinois, or west across the river?

Two round-trips, Saturday and Sunday May 5-6, originating/terminating at Carr St. (North St. Louis freight house), via B&O trackage rights (otherwise restricted to coal trains) East St. Louis-Shattuc, thence CB&Q Shattuc-Centrailia. Sponsored by the Illini Railroad Club, fare was $7. One of Mike's earlier books, Rails Around Southern Illinois, shows one of the trips on the B&O at O'Fallon. _._,_._,_
