I've mentioned this new offering before, but I thought I'd post it again. They are very nice cars. Jerry Michels Amarillo Railroad Museum New, Limited-Edition Broadway Limited Colorado and Southern (C&S) HT-10C Three-Bay Hoppers Built: by the CB&Q at Havelock, Nebraska 1961 (HV.8.61) Road Number Series: 20000-20149 Road Numbers Available 20001, 20015, 20019, 20028, 20031, 20045 Details: Timken roller bearing trucks. Painted in the Chinese Red paint scheme. Factory equipped with metal Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers. Wire grab irons and separate brake line and brake hoses. Detailed interior. Removable ABS coal load. The coal load is a bit shiny and could benefit from an overspray of matte paint. Price: $39.99 plus shipping. We accept PayPal, credit cards, and checks. Where to find them: www.amarillorailmuseum.com or eBay. If you have questions, email us at amarillorailmuseum.com The number series followed the 18000-18299 series of twin hoppers built in 1915 and preceded the 21000-21019 series of mill gondolas built in 1937. They make a striking addition to any C&S, CB&Q or FtW&D consist. Look at our FtW&D (Intermountain) covered hoppers for a great combination. This is our first run using Broadway Limited Imports (https://broadway-limited.com/), and we are thrilled with the results. The care taken in assembly and prototype fidelity is excellent. The Amarillo Railroad Museum is cooperating with the Q-Connection (www.qconnection.biz/) for the second time in a custom car run to offer 20 each of three numbers of the C&S hoppers, and we in turn offer 20 each of three numbers of their CB&Q HT-10 version of the cars (170018, 170192, and 170249) built in 1948-1949, in mineral red with white lettering and solid bearings. In addition, the Q built ten of this type of hopper in 1949 as an experiment with roller bearings and painted them orange and black. The Q-Connection offers two road numbers 170494 and 170499 of these “experiments.” It could be that these ten cars lead to the C&S using Timken roller bearings in the 1961 hoppers we offer. We also have a limited number of Fort Woth & Denver covered hoppers, MKT mechanical reefers and ART ice reefers for sale. All sales benefit our museum. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
