That’s a C&S loco and it’s on the C&S in Loveland. The C&S had a branch that served the limestone quarries at Ingleside and then Rex. I don’t know if the branch lasted long enough to see diesels and I’m away from home right now or I would check my files. The last time I was there the quarry at Rex was still going strong although the rails were long gone.

Hello group,

I was searching for images of Burlington SD-9's and came across this photo on the American rails site.  Does anybody know where the Limesone came from? Since it is in all CBQ gondolas I would assume from an online source.  Just thought it was an interesting photo as I live near by and find the sugar beet industry interesting.

While not served by CBQ does anybody know of a source of photos of the Johnstown, CO de-sugaring plant where they extracted sugar out of molasses the other sugar beet plants created?   The rails are still there but the buildings where torn down about a decade ago. I have a couple of photos of the front building but searching for photos of the out building and such
Thanks
