One of the 60' cars that the BRHS did in 1999 had a return when empty stencil for the SP&S in Portland, OR. This car also did not have a stripe on the door. I believe this is the same car that appears in Morning Sun's CB&Q color guide to freight cars. Two questions about this particular car:

1. Does the lack of a stripe on the door specifically mean that this car was NOT in auto parts service?
2. Is anyone aware what industry utilized this car in Portland, OR? It looks like Owens had a glass factory in Portland, OR. I wondered if the Q was supplying cars since the SP&S didn't have 60'ers of their own and since Owens was a good customer of the Q elsewhere on the system?

As always, any information helps. Thank you.
