FYI: The "Q Rail Network" feature in the Members Only area of the BRHS web site has an individual web page for about 1,800 stations, based upon the 1968 station book. Most all of these station web pages have a copy of an official CB&Q alignment chart/card included at the bottom. Most of these alignment cards have the year the track was laid down. The alignment cards were scanned by BRHS member Steve Holding. By clicking on the card you can get a larger copy to read. The alignment card for Fromberg shows a date of 1911. According to Overton’s “Burlington Route A History of the Burlington Lines” the line between Billings and Casper by way of Kirby and Thermopolis was open for service on October 18, 1914.

A friend asked me this question, but I know little about Lines West, so would appreciate the answer to pass on.
Thanks,
