The title of the loose bound, photo copied page book is “Burlington Route Conductors Booking Books”. It is comparable in size to a note book you carried during school years. Copyright 1991 by Range Research.
The basis for the books’ data was the Conductors booking books of three Aurora Division Conductors from 1960-66.  A Conductors booking book was a small booklet in which the Conductor or the brakeman at the Conductors request, recorded the cars in a passenger train.

These three Conductors worked all types of passenger trains on both the mainline and C&I as well as specials that went down the Fox River branch, etc. Based on the records these men were on the extra lists during these years as there are many extras and second sections recorded along with gaps of days or weeks where they must have been working freight.

Tom--I bought one when it was published from a guy somehow involved in the Range Research Group who sold it through his brass import business (long defunct). Your description is accurate. I would add that the years covered were in the early 60s. I looked for my copy before responding to your post, but I must have given it to someone. Dan Holbrook is a retired BN employee and I should think some of the railroaders on this list could help you contact him.
