This is a great piece of information. It is too faint for me to read when I enlarge it. Where is the original document housed?
Is this at the Newberry?

This is a drawing of what was controlled by Aurora Tower. The top half is the east end with the three tracks and the Hill Yard Switch to the Aurora Roundhouse.
As you progress from Left to Right Then the East Interlocking Plant and the switch to the Old Main behind the tower at the top. While on the bottom is the depot tracks At the bottom is the west end of the Depot tracks. The Signal on the bottom between the
X over and depot tracks was the Christmas Tree So named because it would display every aspect possible depending on how the switches were lined. Even a Lunar to get into an occupied depot track. The operator had to push a button on the front of the machine
when the engine was in the right spot in order for it to light. As you progress to the left you have the C&I Siding at the top. C&I Main(to Savanna)
, in the middle is the Sheep Yard Lead and the two Main Lines at the Bottom(to Galesburg)
This was installed to replace Three Switch Tenders in about 1926 AFTER the depot and elevation was in service.

Dana,
May I ask where this is located? I enlarged it and can barely read it.
