One of the links that was sent out had a date of getting a new depot in the 1870s. Would this be the date, but it was delivered  (not Built?).

Charlie,

Looking at photos of depots from Bristol to Leland clearly shows they were similar. It’s my understanding (long ago forgot where I found this nugget) is they were built in sections in the small village of Chicago and the sections were brought out to building sites. There were some variances in sizes,etc. Given the resources and technology of the time that was quite an accomplishment.
A review of depots in the BRHS Flicker site and other sources confirms how similar they were before modifications and then replacements were built.

I’ve often wondered how the large Leland depot was justified at the time.
