Rupert, Thanks as This will likely end up in my article entitled “That Good Aurora Gravel”. In 1892 the Q owned gravel pit on the site was exhausted and started being converted to the sheep yards. I have a copy of the original engineering/line location survey showing the pit in the 1850s/60s.
