I am back to lettering a 250 ton wrecker in HO scale, and am wondering about sources for much of the smaller lettering (I have applied the herald and the large "CB&Q" and "204376"). I am particularly interested in the four lines of lettering (listed in the 2014 posts by Hol and Ben) that is on the rear and both sides of the cab. I have pieced together words from individual letters at times, but I can't see doing that for lettering that is this small! I also need decals for the length of "41 FT 0 IN" on the boom and the "WT 376000" that I can read from photos. This latter lettering and some other lettering above the trucks does seem to vary over time per the photos I have, to include BB#18. Some of this other lettering is too small for me to read from the photos, and certainly won't be legible in HO scale, so I am thinking I can use any tiny decals to model these. So, back to my questions: 1. What has anyone used or can suggest as the source(s) for decals for this lettering? 2. What is the font of this lettering? 3. Anyone know what some of the other small lettering that I have not specifically stated reads? Thanks in advance for any help that any of you can offer.
