I am making a roof for the ScaleTrains GM-6A gon.  I used photos from the members area Flickr album.  I hope to have it finished in the near future.  I used two Branchline diagonal 50' roofs cut to create three sections.  I had a friend etch the small "J" hooks for me and I am trying to determine the best way to form the triangular lift hooks.  I also have to fabricate the inspection hatches and etched metal roofwalk  Attached is an in-progress shot.

Jim,

The roofs on your two gondolas are very nice. I was going to post to the group about whether we could perhaps do some prototypical CB&Q gondola roofs since so many of the CB&Q gondolas were covered gondolas. I was wondering if detailed plans for any of the CB&Q gondola covers existed.

Do you have the actual plans for your roofs that you could share with group? I'm wondering out loud if doing these on a 3D printer might be a way to make them available to the rest of us CB&Q modelers?
