You are correct. It is a reproduction. Private Car Ltd brought out several reproductions and sold authentic RR china. I can't remember exactly where they were located, but the owner had a car dealership as best I remember. I think in Illinois, somewhere near
the Mississippi River, I believe.
I have the 2 different CB&Q versions that were produced. I also have the Great Northern tea pot in green, also a reproduction.
The original Burlington tea pot are bottom marked HALL, which I also have.

I also have one of the Burlington Route dark blue tea pots with gold lettering. The blue lid has about a 1/8 " breather hole and the interior is glossy white. Mine was purchased for about $20 in 1996. I hace always assumed that it is a reproduction
since the bottom of it has in gold lettering " MADE EXPRESSLY FOR THE PRIVATE CAR LTD. by THE HALL CHINA CO. I have no other info on this teapot other than the upper neck of my teapot is straight & vertical while the upper neck of the teapot in question
appears to be flared.
