I had previously ordered one of the detail kits from Q Connection for a different project but will now be using it for this one.

If the bag is still sealed, it should have two sections. One containing the laser cut parts, Athearn plastic underframe, etc. The second part contains very small parts, smokejack, turnbuckles. If you have a later kit it will include cast resin steps.

 

You need to provide decals, trucks, couplers, ladders, grabs. Trout Creek brass ladders. Detail Associates #550 AMB caboose detail kit. Trucks maybe the most difficult to find. The kit recommends the MDC wood passenger beam trucks, which I think are now out of production. I don’t know if Walthers sells their CBQ caboose trucks separately.

 

The Q connection sold a kit containing the above parts, to accompany this caboose kit. But it is out of stock because trucks are not available.

I picked up a used AMB Burlington 30' Wood Waycar Kit recently and there were no instructions in the box. Did this model come with an instruction sheet? The bag inside was sealed, so I believe all the parts are there.
