I looked at the report for 1948 and the index did not seem to list any mail routes; just some mention of specifications of RPO cars.
But I am sure I was not being very careful. If you have any suggestions, I would be grateful!

If anyone has an interest in historical RPO routes, there are details in the Annual Report of the Postmaster General athttps://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/000518137. I haven’t searched the later issues but they were still being listed in 1900.
