The operator's shack was painted black if the turntable was painted black, mineral red if the turntable was mineral red, and in later years, aluminum if the turntable was aluminum.  Black was by far the most predominant color.

I have been making progress on my turntable and am at the painting stage. I am using a rusty black for the main structure but was wondering what color the "operators shack" would have been painted? If it was a station I would guess Red w/green trim but for something the public didn't see, maybe it was just black too? Thanks.
