Tom,

I suspect Nolan Null will answer your question about the Life Like. You can also do an advanced search on Walthers web site using Life-Like Products as the manufacturer, CB&Q as a search term, and have include out of stock/discontinued products. I don't see that Life-Like ever did anything in 23000 series which makes sense looking at the following roster.

As of January 1966, cars in series 22000-22329 were built by Havelock in 1944. Cars #22016, #22074, #22084, #22104, #22112, #22164, #22183, #22210-22211, #22232 and  #22287 Equipped w/Belt Rails and designated XML.

Series 22330-22499 were also built by Havelock 1944.

Series 33500-22749 were built 1948 by Havelock. Cars #22574, #22636, #22659 and #22679 Equipped w/Belt Rails and Designated XML.

Series 23000-23099 were built by Havelock 1954 and equipped w/Evans Belt Rails when built.

Series 23500-23549 are former GAEX cars built 1950 by GATC. Initially leased by the CB&Q (Originally GAEX Series #108000-108046), they were purchased in 1961. This would be the Branchline Trains and now Atlas car.

I have three LifeLike Proto 2000 CB&Q XM-33 50' single door boxcars in my collection, numbers 21045, 21182, and 21267. All three are in Chinese red. Somehow in my "want list" I show that P2K made these cars in the XM-33 22000-22499 series as well. Strange thing is I can't find any photos of the HO scale models and none ever turned up at pre-COVID19 train shows and I haven't found any on eBay. So now I am wondering if I am mistaken. Does anyone know if P2K actually made XM-33's in the 22000 series? Perhaps you have on in your collection?

Second, my list of CB&Q boxcars in the 22000 series seems a bit confused. I show CB&Q 22000-22329 (330 cars) as XM-33's built at Havelock but with no build date. I then have an entry for cars 22000-22287 with a quantity of 11 cars and a note that says "DF" Box, but no other information. Then I show XM-33's 22330-22499 (170 cars) built 1044 at Havelock. After that I have cars 22500-22749 but no other data (class, build date, length, etc.), then 22574-22679 but only 4 cars in the series, then full data on class XML-33A cars 22800-22899 (100 cars) built 8-9/1948 at Havelock. My notes say these are "DF" converted and Re-# in 1955, but I don't know the series they were renumbered from. My reference for these XML-33A's is the CB&Q Color Guide page 51.

It could be the smaller number series's within the larger groups (with the small quantities) came from an ORER, but I don't have any notes on where the info came from. Any help sorting out these numbers would be appreciated.
