Some ran better than others. PFM United models were pretty good runners, some others like LMB and NJ Custom Brass, were not as good either from an operation standpoint or in detail and finish. With some work, they coupld be OK.

I always wondered how well Schopp's creations actually ran.  A lot of the brass locos in that pre-flywheel/pre-can motor era weren't very good runners to begin with.
