Sunset 3rd Rail Models is just shipping their new F3 locomotives in a number of railroad paint schemes. I received my four unit CB&Q consist earlier this week. It appears to be a very good representation of an F3 Phase IIa which is what the Q’s first F3s were. The only number available for Q was 116 A,B,C,D.The only minor error that I have found is the number location and size on the B units. It is located at the lower rear corner of the carbody and is quite a bit too large. I can live with that or change it. They include DC and DCC control, sound and lights including a nicely done Mars light. I think they look pretty nice.
