Glad I mentioned it. The former CB&Q wye on the west side of town ran through my grandfather's property. I believe the wye was built in the early 1900's and then removed maybe in the 1980s. There used to be an interlocking tower on the CB&Q mainline just west of the C&NW Spring Valley line. It was a manual tower connected by rods to the various switches, etc. I am fairly sure the interlocking would have been installed when the wye was put in.

I am attaching a short history of the C&NW Spring Valley line.
