[CBQ] BRHS Flickr collection

Looking at the BRHS Flickr site last night, I see that there are now over 23,000 photos in the collection, with three newish albums for Passes, Tickets and Dining Menus. Recent additions found included QO&KC 4-4-0 #10, C&S 2-6-0 #6, BREX reefer #74572, EMC EA demonstrators #511 and #512 from 1935/36, President Harry Truman’s visit to Galesburg in 1950, the first train through Wind River Canyon in 1906, Wapello depot, and the bridge over the Platte River at Fremont.

And if you haven’t visited the collection, you are missing out. It’s easy to access it – sign in at http://www.burlingtonroute.org/members_only/index.php click on the box labelled Flickr and that will take you to the collection. You can then choose between Photostream which shows all the photos that have been uploaded, starting with the most recent, or view the albums which contain the photos, sorted by category. You can then download the photos or just view them.

A great way to spend a couple of hours!
