Sorry...or maybe somebody will like it...I just have to comment on some of the 'features" showing up in this photo.  First:  The little boxlike affair near the station door is a "waybill box"  That's where the agent would put any waybills and/or switch list for train which would be at his station when there was no operator on duty.  And, or course, any waybills for cars set out under similar circumstances would be placed in that box.  Also note the "white" looking thing is probably a water barrel "just in case" a fire would break out.  Then there is the ever present Western Union sign hanging from the eves.  Or that might be a sign reading  "Adams Express"  (forerunner of REA)  And of just off to the right are (is) the"dry closet'.

All - Have attached a photo of the Cochrane, WI, station taken in 1910.

A bit of trivia, many of the stations on the long abandoned LaCrosse & Southeastern Railroad from Stoddard east to Viroqua, WI, were constructed to the same design.

This station would look good on most any rural layout. Best Regards - Louis

During the 1970's, a number of these depots still survived in Wisconsin along the river in the early BN years, including Cassville, Ferryville, Cochrane, Pepin, Bay City, Prescott and others, most used for m-o-w. Cochrane was the last one to be a train order office, with a semaphore, lasting into the late 1980's. The only surviving one in WI to my knowledge is Pepin, now located in a park along Highway 35 in that town.

CB&N depots are very distinctive and deserve scratch building.
Most have large overhang high hip roofs and would not be a big deal to build using evergreen drop siding and commercial window and door castings.
I think the old Laverne depot on the east end was built following CB&N plans and there are a couple of that style that survive.
