Thanks for these photos, I’ll try and find larger versions which can be published. I found the Stennett site but I was hoping for a view of the depot. The track there was still open in 1982, probably for the quarry, but I presume that the depot was long gone.

Rupert attached are photos of the Elliott and Griswold depots. Sorry I do not have one for Stennett. The Elliott photo I find at the Grinnell IA library.

For a Burlington Bulletin article, I’m researching the Red Oak to Griswold Branch which opened in 1891, with a single intermediate stop at Elliott. Later a stop was added at Stennett, between Red Oak and Elliott.

Hoping that someone can help with -
     Photos of Stennett, Elliott and Griswold depots (I’m aware of the ones of the last two named towns found in Bulletin 22).
     Track alignment chart for the branch
     When passenger service finished on the line – the latest date I’ve found was 1949
