I hate to disagree with Mr. Corbin, but if that is what he wrote (I'm not at home to check), that is incorrect. The Q received 3 orders of SW1200s, the first consisting of 10 units in September and October of 1955, with another 12 delivered in July of 1965 split into two order of 8 and 4. The first 10, 9271 to 9280, were delivered in the script scheme. The last 12 (9281-9288 and 9289-9292) came in the simplified Burlington scheme. Of the 3 number Rapido has chosen to do, 9273 did receive the simplified Burlington lettering sometime after March 1968, it is unknown whether the 9277 received the simplified lettering and 9285 should have only had the simplified lettering. So Rapido's number choices leave a bit to be desired from an accuracy standpoint. Hopefully there is still time for them to change it.

All of the SW 1200's came from EMD, in 1965, in the "new" paint scheme, per Corbin's "The Burlington in Transition".
