Including the C&S and FW&D SW1200s, they came in five separate orders from EMD in 1955, 1959 and 1965:

Probably the most noticeable difference between the '55 units and the later '59 and '65 units would be the presence of a third lifting ring on each side of the hood on the '55 units, and just two lifting rings on the '59 and '65 units.

SW12 9275 on P. 118 in Spoor's Vol 3 book in KC in 1969.  It is in the slogan scheme with wagon wheel antenna. Not much help for the Rapido release unless someone is wanting to remove lettering and decal.

Bill...

Ok on the Flicker I'll look there. The 9276 is in the book also, same as
the Chione dupe. I'm still going thru some of his sets, as I don't have
all of them classed yet. And I do have a lot from Al! I  just went your
way to Flickr and found the B&W shots of 9276. Strange though, I did a
search of SW1200 and SW12 on there and only got results for 9273 even
though there are a bunch of 1200s there. So it looks like the only photo
we can find in this scheme and antenna is 9276 in 1968. There are plenty
of earlier photos around of the slogan scheme with the wagon wheel.
