Thanks guys. I'm going to go to the BRHS Bulletin project CD and start from there.

Wasn't there a Burlington Bulletin from the late 1960s that announced the new posters and showed all the images? Might be a little small to blow up to a nice large size poster.

Thanks!

Leo-

I tried a couple of searches but did not come up with a Land of the Burlingtons – Brookfield example.

You could try contacting the Brookfield Historical Society.   If they have a copy of one you might be allowed to photograph it (an iPad works well for such copying if you can get it into the right lighting conditions and frame the shot so the edges are square to the viewer).   Then go to Walgreens or maybe a Kinko and have a reduced size from the original color print made.   It would look nice in a matted frame in a smaller format.

The examples below don’t have any CB&Q reference but give you an idea of what it would look like in other than a poster format…

I checked with Pete Briggs and he does not have any of the "Land of the Burlington" posters in his files.  He did advise that the advertising agency involved was Tatahm Laird and Kudner.  A computer search of this firm says they are "no longer active".

In the mid 1960s the Q ran a P.R. program entitled "Land of the Burlingtons" or something close(it's been a long time). The posters were designed for and posted at each Chicago suburban station.

I am looking for one of the Brookfield posters(or a repo). It's to be a Christmas present

To one of my daughters who know resides in Brookfield about 3 city blocks from the station and commutes downtown when not traveling all over the U.S.A. She and husband just completed the total gutting and remodeling of her at home office. There's a perfect spot on a wall for the poster.

Can anyone point me in the direction of securing either an original or a repo ?

Thanks,

Leo
