Here is the one photo I know of for Costello Tower. It is from the Barriger collection https://www.flickr.com/photos/barrigerlibrary/albums/

For freight cars for your era, most Westerfield kits qualify. Bachman offers 1880s era freight cars. Roundhouse has a number of early era cars, what they called their old timer series. Any USRA designed car dates from 1919. The Accurail double sheath and single sheath boxcars work, including their new 36’ cars. Features to look for are wood bodies, wood underframe with truss rods, shorter length ie 34’ & 36’. Steel underframes came into use in the teens, ie towards the end of your time frame.

I have a list for MSTL cars which includes dates, I will send it to you.

My Great Grandpa was the engineer of the CB&Q switcher #1307 in Monmouth, IL at the turn of the 20th Century. I commissioned an HO replica of his engine 30 years ago. I would like to add some CB&Q and M&StL freight cars from theera to my collection. Your page at: http://www.burlingtonroute.org/Qrailroad/modeling/HO_kits.php#Covered%20Hoppers is very helpful at finding CB&Q cars, but not narrowing down   the dates that they were in operation. Can  someone help me locate or identify HO scale cars that were operating from 1880-1930?

Thank you!
