I just bought a freight car model that came with a reweigh date and other fresh data very close to my modelled era.  I'm wondering what kind of treatment cars would have received as part of this process, mostly so I know how much weathering to apply.  Would freight cars be washed or would they just clean the patch where the new stenciling would need to adhere. that kind of thing.
