It should be noted that the Mars light lens face on the E-5’s as originally built were angled slightly to follow the angle of the sloped front nose.

All later E units had the lens face oriented in an upright vertical position with no angle or at 90 degrees  to the rail surface. The rebuilt 9910-A Mars light lens followed this later oractice.
