Check the operating schedule online to see if the E5 will be there and running.
When I was there, the E5 train set (formerly the Nebraska Zephyr) was on a
track near the shed, and it was idling, but never moved. That's the only Q
power that I know of that still runs.
Parking is no problem at the Museum of Science and Industry. They have both
underground and street parking, but you may want to get there early for best
selection. Last time I was there was in July 2018, and the exhibit was closed
for renovation. Big disappointment as I had my grandkids with me for the first
time. Check to be sure the exhibit is open before going there.

Subject: [CBQ] Illinois railway museum
I am planning a trip to the Illinois Railway Museum sometime this summer. What
would be a good time to visit? I am interested in Burlington equipment, most
particular the Diesels. I also want to find interesting Model Railroad shops
in the area. I am also considering a trip to Chicago to see the Zephyr at the
museum of Science and Industry but I am not sure I want to deal with the
traffic and parking.
