Charlie:
I don't know if they were considered low profile, but the trucks on the gallery cars had 33" wheels, so the top of the casting could have been 1-1/2" lower that trucks with 36" wheels.
I have a drawing of the main frame of these trucks, but it is too large to duplicate even on a letter sized page.
Regarding Scott Stearns question about these trucks, I don't know of any truck made that comes close to the trucks on the gallery cars. They had a brake cylinder on one end. I would suggest taking a pair of GSC 41-HR trucks, and relocating the brake cylinder
from near the middle of the truck to one end, and that might make a decent replicant.

Subject: Re: [CBQ] Question on bi-level commuter trucks
Were the CB&Q gallery car trucks a little lower profile than “normal” 41-Nxxx trucks?
I seem to remember this being the case (at least for the C&NW bilevels) but don’t have any documentation.
Which brings up a related subject….does anyone have a CB&Q Truck Diagram Book that has passenger car trucks newer than the 9903? Or did the Q just rely on manufacturers manuals, etc. and not create their own drawings?
