Hello Lawrence,
I've examined the Corporate Histroy of the CB&Q from 1921 by W.W. Baldwin and
did not find a listing for the North Platte Railway. I've attached the pages
for the Nebraska, Wyoming and Western Railraod Company that built the line from
Alliance, south to Northport, then west to Guernsey and two branch lines, but
nothing was recorded about the four branchlines that went north from the
Northport to Guernsey line.

Anyone in your organization about short lines have any information on
the North Platte Valley Railway which existed in Scotts Bluff & Morrill
counties in western Nebraska from 1920 to 1935 when it was absorbed by the
CB&Q. It was a group of four branch lines for Sugar Beet harvest on the
north side of the North Platte River. Looking for photos and additional
information for a book I'm writing. thanks in advance for any help.
