Hi Darrall,

Somewhat belated, but nevertheless many thanks for the photos!

I happened to find that article you mentioned; it is in the Prototype Modeler

of Jan-Feb 1989 and is about splicing two Athearn 50’ gondolas to get a

still not entirely correct 65’ gon. That’s a lot of work for this old man (82)

with so many other projects to finish besides the time needed to keep his

body going so I had hoped  I only had to change the roadname and number.

Alas!
