That works even better as I checked the decals and the have HV and a date.

You're right.  I was thinking of the early 20th century era when some locations used three-letter symbols.

I seem to have misplaced my BB 7 on XM32 boxcars that has this information.

Looking for where the FW&D XM32s would have been shopped in the 60s and what the code for the shop would be for stenciling purposes on some models.
