In '49/'50 you could see an EA shovel nose leading with an E-5 B unit trailing unit.  The trailing unit could also be an E-5 or an E-7.  It make for a very interesting look. 

I have not seen a photo of the EA B unit on the TCZ.  You did see these between two E units on the Empire Builder, a few years later.

Hello All,

Could someone on the list confirm the power that would have been used on the Twin Cities Zephyr in the early 50s?  The info I have indicates E-5s were most frequently used, but sometimes lashed up with a shovel nose. Would it have just been an A unit?
