I want to thank Doug, Sam, Bill, Rupert, Scott and Hol for the additional information and photos in answer to my speeder inquiry. I hope your responses will be of help to others as well. With the mineral red, lettering was white, then black with the orange.

After not receiving any responses, I contacted my friend Rupert Gamlen who is very knowledgeable about everything CBQ. He suggested that I contact NARCOA (North American Railcar Operators Association). I had a nice conversation with the Area 6 Representative
(IL, MN, WI). He thought that originally in the 1940's and 1950's the speeders were painted safety orange. Later, they were painted yellow. If anyone can verify this or has early color photos, I would appreciate it. Hope this helps other BRHS members.

I have been looking through the BRHS web page and my books to find information on Burlington speeders (color, manufacturers, photos). Any help in directing me to the right source would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
